After School Study Room- Sa Xeng, Vietnam

Project video coming soon.

Life in Sa Xeng can be pretty tough; a small and isolated village located in the NW mountains of Vietnam.  In fact, after talking to local leaders we’ve learned that only one village child in many years has ever made the transition from primary to secondary school.  Unfortunately, for the families to survive the struggles of every day life parents require their children to work versus continuing their education after primary school.

To make an educational impact on the village, Mission McNeill and the villagers managed to transform a village communal space into an after-school study room.  And though the room was specifically designed for first through sixth graders, we were happy to see older teenagers and parents are also utilizing the new room.

The total project cost was $710, took five days to complete and will directly help about 80 children.
