fix well & upgrade Library

Project Summary: fix the school’s broken well, upgrade the school’s library and give them a few classroom tables

For over a year, the school’s water well did not work, and unfortunately, the school didn’t have the money to get it fixed. After some research by Mission McNeill, we learned that its check-valve wasn’t working properly. The check valve helps maintain suction whenever the handle is used.

In short, it was hard work and took several days working with a contractor but we managed to get the well fixed. The well water is used by the school for drinking water, restroom use and some irrigation.

Additionally, we upgraded the school’s library with 240 reading books, a table cloth and sitting matts; and bought six large classroom tables to keep a few children from sitting on the floor (from lack of tables).

The total project cost was $720, helping 379 students.
